Career Systems Development Corporation
Chairman and CEO 2001-Present

Responsible for providing education and training support for the U. S. Department of Labor and in operation since 1964, Career Systems Development Corporation focuses on helping at-risk youth to achieve a foundation in a vocational trade. Purchased in 2001 by Owl Companies, CSD has proven to be a leader in the Job Corps Center management field.

Owl Foundation, a not for profit 501(c) (3) organization creating long-lasting community change by addressing underlying causes of the most significant local issues. Common focus areas include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving people’s health. Owl’s goal is to create long-lasting change by offering a hand-up for long lasting individual self-sustainability.

 

Tecolote Resources, Inc. Real Estate Development and Holdings
Chairman and CEO

Responsible for repositioning a real estate portfolio through reclamation of historical assets and converting existing land holdings into productive income producing assets.

 

Owl Energy Resources, Inc.
Chairman and CEO

Providing small to medium-sized power generation and co-generation projects to companies who need to diversify their energy dependency.

Eric J. Perea

Vice President of Real Estate

 

Perea joined the Owl Companies in February of 2001 as Owl Energy Resources’ Manager of Business Development and was promoted to Vice President in July 2003. He played an integral part in Owl Energy’s explosive growth and overall success. The company successfully brought on-line in excess of 4.5 mega-watts of income generating power plants.

In March of 2008, he was promoted to Vice President of the Owl Companies Real Estate Division, Tecolote Resources, Inc. As Vice President of Tecolote, Perea is responsible for all functions of the divisions’ commercial real estate ventures — acquisitions, depositions, development, asset management and capital sourcing and deployment.

Variously described as focused, tenacious, ebullient, sincere, hard-charging and dynamic, Perea has infused the Owl Companies with his own brand of energetic leadership, vision and spirit.

Perea was born in 1973 and grew up in Claremont California. He graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and an emphasis in Commercial Real Estate Investment.

Following college, he worked for several commercial real estate investment firms specializing in the acquisition, disposition and development of retail centers and apartment communities. In August of 2004, he was married to his wife Stacy, who he met at Cal State Fullerton. They were blessed with their first child, Connor in February of 2006. Together they enjoy golf, fitness, traveling and being parents.

Steve Seastrom

Corporate Controller
OWL Companies, OWL Energy Resources, Tecolote Resources, Owl Education and Training

Mr. Seastrom also serves as an officer to those entities and Career Systems Development Corporation.

Steve joined the OWL organization in October, 2003 and has over 25 years of diverse finance and accounting expertise with public and privately held service, security, technology and manufacturing companies.

Previously he was Controller for Westec Interactive and Corporate Controller of The Westec Security Group, Inc., parent company of Westec Interactive. Steve has served in Director of Finance and Division Controller capacities for Fortune 500 companies, FHP International Corporation and Baker-Hughes International, respectively. He also was Controller for Insulectro Inc., a private, electronics distribution company.

Education:

Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Business Administration / Accounting from California State University at Los Angeles.

Michael Renz

Facility Manager for Owl Companies and Tecolote Resources, Inc

For the past ten years, Michael's responsibilities have included day to day maintenance operations at the corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA. Responsibilities include: the purchase of supplies and equipment, establishing service and maintenance contracts for telecommunications, HVAC, security operations, janitorial services and landscaping.

He is also in charge of the leasing and rental properties for Tecolote in regards to the tenant interviewing and selection process and to

ensure that the properties are properly maintained.
